No, he couldn’t have been, because Jimmy was able to get a picture of him. If Clark was running faster than the speed of light, you wouldn’t be able to see him, since light wouldn’t reflect off him.
clark did stop for a second though to watch his picture get taken as well though

finally what i have been waiting for since the conclusion of season 1. Clark Kent becoming superman. Looks like the writers finally got back on track with a “good” story line again
