Flash is faster then superman when running simply because thats his power !! if superman were to fly he would be faster. think how jealous flash would be if superman was to beat him at running!! he would lose his name as flash!!
i look at it like the flash was in an accident and his powers showed up straight away but clark inherits his powers and so when they were running, then flash was faster than clark but clark isnt an adult yet so can still grow
yea the flash is the fastest DC hero to date, in a comic he shot a gun at the ground and ran around the earth before it hit.in newer comics he is able to run parallel with a beam of light,yes he can run as fast as light.

Plz dont be Naive, Superman doesnt have a Max. Super constantly fights with restraints, mental blocks to his powers. He drops more and more of these depending on how strong his foe is, he does this becuz he doesnt want to kill anyone accidentally.
Basically what this means is that if Superman needs to be stronger or faster, he just has to try harder. His powers are unlimited. In prime Superman spends 15,000years in the sun, drawing on the energy and actually becomes immune to Kryptonite. So Superman’s powers just keep increasing as his time around the yellow sun does.
Moving on. Flash is very fast ALL around, whereas Superman doesnt react or strike at the same speed as he flies. Flash can react and strike and move as fast as he runs, Superman cant. However, Superman’s Flight feats have outdone Flash’s so far to date.
The both have moved so fast that they cut through the fabric of reality and travel thru time(actually Superman has broken the fabric more than once through just his strength before as well as speed).
Flash can un faster, no doubt, but Supes can travel faster with flight.

Its the amount of Distance traveled moving at the speed of light in the span of a year….ok, so now that we know what a light-year is lets estimate how far away stars are. The Speed of Light travels around the World 7 times in a single second, Superman flew across Galaxies in about the same time.
So yes, Superman can TRAVEL faster than the Flash in the end, however overall Flash is faster becuz his speed is continuous with all of stats, whereas Superman’s fastest is in his flying.
