If you people hate Lana, it’s because the makers of Smallville totally destroyed her character from the actual comics. In canon, there IS no Chloe Sullivan and Lana was the FIRST person Clark told his secrets to (aside from his parents).

i like Lanas….she wines a bit and shes a bit obsessesed with secrets but apart from that shes a great character. stories wouldnt be as good without her and besides we need someone to gets knocked out every episode and wake up coincidentally a few seconds after superman saves the day.

This is very important episode. It’s about being a father.But most of the time there children are not ready to accept them who they are. Jor-El, this father and Lionel(Even though wicked) they try to make their children stronger. And try to make them happy in contradictory ways(The way they think it is best). That is fathers love. It has a depth like mother love or even more. It’s common to a criminal also. I have seen same in X-Files that one criminal father who can move through objects desperately trying to take his daughter with him and finally got killed. But unfortunate for them they rarely get the appreciation or love in return.This reminds my own experience. But when u realize it’s too late.
