I disagree. I think this episode did a fantastic job of pitting all the major players together and showing their true motives to one another. I love that now, the objective is a lot more focused with the Kandorians getting their power and their hunt for the object Zod wants. I don’t know how the story will lead to Clark becoming Superman but this episode definitely got me interested in Smallville again.
loved the romance, i liked that clark and lois actually kiss and get touchy feely on an acuall bed lol… KEEP IT COMING!! as a 25 year old female the romance is a priority, clark is no longer a virginated highschool student he is a grown man, with passions and feelings, i personally think he needs to break out of the CONTROLLED” zone i feel he is in, and just get jiggy with lois and show us how passionate he is… i could keep on about that.
I do have to say, i think each episode REALLLY needs to really make us want to see the next episode.The ending of UPGRADE sort of did that, but it needs to be much more obvious

More loving, affectionate, caring (like Bizarro) yes, but he will never go wild unless on red kryptonite. It’s age that influences this romance/sex behaviour, males are hypersexual at 14-22. Nevertheless I liked the bed kiss in ‘Upgrade’ and I vote for all twists and turns in future, too!

I heard that they are doing a season 10. Somewhere towards the end of summer and being of fall. I have a feeling then that might be the last season. I like all the episodes. There just some that’s hard to understand. SMALLVILLE ROCKS!

Lex can’t be dead, thier will have to be some kind of twist; he’s Supermans nemesis in the future. In the original he ends up with cancer from kryptonite and makes a suit of armour containing kryptonite to keep himself alive(go figure?). Saying that though they have changed alot, but mostly only things that can be put down to artistic license like introducing people into Clarks life that he originaly meets later on in his life, including Lex, which without would not have made such a good show.

Clark can never really be with Lois until she knows who he really is. It’s classic Clois which has also been played out in Lois & Clark with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher and to a lesser extent in the movies and comics. I thought this episode was good but some of it was a bit too mysterious like when Clark said he had someone a long time ago who was on a equal footing and “got him” who was he referring to? Surely not Lana?
Actually after having a think I thought it could be Lex. They were like brothers and Clark was looking for a brother in all the wrong places with Zod. It’s easy to forget how close Lex and Clark were but when you re-watch the early seasons they were really good friends.
agree with the fact that best characters have been removed. I think however lana leaving was nessasary so lois could take more spotlight. episode was enjoyable as always but i feel episode plots are getting a bit unimaginative or at least sightly predicatble. Still love Smallville hope chloes not killed off. Also get frickin wonder twins back they were surprisingly entertaining!

Dear Liz, I noticed that “Smallville” loses its fans. Not so many people watch new Smallville vids at Youtube as it was a year ago. Yes, we are like a family here, a family of few members only.
I thought Welling’s born in 1977, kind of 33 now. Not sure about 38, but of course he does not look well anymore. I think it is because of heavy make-ups they use while shooting. Even the best one, it spoils the face skin gradually. Plus shaving, little sleep etc. The actors work hard, earn much and they grow old quickly. By the way, do you remember I had some ideas on plastic surgery? I saw the results of using a filler and it’s amazing!

No way.. If you saw the trailer Clark learns that someone pretending to be the blur calls Lois but he doesn’t know who.. Then something happens and Clark as a Blur calls Lois and tells her that being with her boyfriend is too dangerous and Lois finds the number who called her and calls back but “busy line”… Maybe Lois starts thinking about Clark-Blur (I don’t know how to say it)… ha the assosiation between clark and the blur.. but i believe that they will delay the revealing of the truth.. (I mean when Lois will learn about clarks double identity)

Clark obviously meant Lex if you listen to the quote, because he and Lex were like brothers with difficult distant demanding fathers, dead mothers, great expecttions and power to act out except that Lex didn’t have Chole and Pete to rely on or the Kents to keep him on the straight and narrow.
Left to his own devices he became evil and killed Lionel because he had changed and liked Clark more, who has the kind of life Lex would want including Lana, who Lex loved so made it impossible her and Clark with Kryptonite.
The Kandorian clones will have powers, but they don’t have the book of Rau and Clarks friends even though Chole will be leaving next season for those who wanted her gone.
Of course I hope they don’t kill her because Olly is staying till the end so I don’t know what they’ll do with watchtower and who will keep it going as it the base of the Justice League, which Superman will be a member of.
