first of all yes i know that clark was caught on the blackmail tape, but is there ANY OTHER SECURITY CAMERAS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. You would think a goverment lab would have a security camera monitering thier 6 million dollar tin man. And how many other times has clark superspead into some place only to hang around for a few seconds and mabye punch a few guys throught walls while there is no security camera to catch him doing this, yes i know this is just a cartoon but really THIS is the first time he was caught on camera, on a side note ive gained a little respect for lionel, that was cool at the end
Just symbolism in the show. Just like. Every single episode that we see him wrapped in a blanket or a sheet (except episodes when he is in his room). That blanket is always red. Symbolizing his red cape.
The future that Lex saw in the episode ‘Lexmas’ was not real. So you can not blame Lionel for what happened. Over the Series Lex has been trying to be good but he makes choices that are his and his alone that make him a bad guy.
I personally think lionel has known for ages. For example, when he used to be blind there was an episode when lionel and clarks mum were being held against there will inside a luthorcorp building. Clark did all that super stuff in front of lionel. Then lionel, a blind man, manages to shoot the bad guy right in the chest…

So… you all keep saying that her character is annoying? What’s annoying about her character? I guess you could claim the whole will they/ won’t they story line. However, that’s not a new thing. In the comics, even as an adult (depending on which version of course) lana continues to pop up. This will/won’t they story arc continues on through when he’s dressed in red and blue. Even when he’s married to lois. So it’s appropriate to explore it and to explore why. You have to remember, smallville is NOT an action series. It’s a series which explores the character of the person who would become superman.
This was actually my opinion as well. But I think Lionel was still blind at that moment. I think Lionel suspects clark’s gifts for a very long time in the series. However, if you look at his reflections when he sees his confirmation in this episode. That suggest to me it was suspicion and this episode 100% confirms it for him. I mean. At least… that’s my opinion.
lionel suspected forever but he knew clarks secret aroud the 2nd meteor shower when he was also posessed by jorell hes just waiting for clark to tell him or get to suspitious
That man was the person who was black mailing Martha. He paid him to get probably either a copy or the original (most likely the original based on lionels motives and character) of the item he was black mailing her with. And how lionel knows about clark is revealed in later episodes.
Perhaps. But remember in the comics that there are 100’s of others with power. So it’s appropriate to explore how things all connect in the past and why the “future” (when he’s superman) is the way it is… Besides.. Who else is a “god like” person going to fight?
Aimed at the idiots: Why on earth would ILLEGAL laboratories, conducting ILLICIT experiments that proof of would cause the entire lab to be shut down and the participants charged with crimes against humanity, keep such proof anywhere?
