Oliver should be thanked by Clark after what Oliver did. Oliver did exactly what Clark was going to do, but Clark didn’t have the balls to do it and Lana stopped him. Oliver took care of business that should have been done years before.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that all the movies and this show are tied together. Doomsday doesn’t even come until he marries Lois in the comics. That suit is actually suppose to be a huge green/purple suit. He’s not suppose to meet brainiac until he’s settled himself as clark. and Lana is suppose to be married to his best buddy Pete Ross. Nothings the same, Yes lex isn’t dead, but maybe he won’t show up until the SERIES fanally. they can’t have anyone else as Lex, it wouldn’t be the same. As for the resolving of everyones mind being wiped clean of clark as a superpowered alien? It has to be a humongous ending for the series.

the suit that lana was wearing had to be “Grafted” to her skin when she was near death. The literal meaning of that word is the bonding of two things. So that being said the suit and herself have become one.

Lex will never die in smallville one simple reason why, all of smallvilles are made before the original superman films. What will they do just undo all the the history of the films, thats what would happen if they did kill him off, i doubt it that they would want to do that.

A super couple wqould be such a lame story line. I guess it depends on where your coming from. Personally, being a superman fan, it would be terrible. I ewatch smallville for the action and links to superman whereas alot of viewers obviously watch it more for its “soap” qualities.

congrats to the writer of this show…they just butchered the superman story to the absolute end of redemption. a “more powerful than superman” lana character…i’m glad i dont have to waste anymore time wondering if the show will be good again, this episode answered that question in a heart beat.

There’s always different interpetation and it varies for each person. Using GK’s example, I fell in love with Clark & Lana’s love story disregarding the fact that he does eventually endds up with Lois in the end and in the other hand, I am rooting for Clark & Lois in any other SUPERMAN movie.
Fact is, SMALLVILLE is based on Clark Kent pre-Superman and Lana IS in Clark Kent’s past and before Lois. In addition, I still hate the fact that SMALLVILLE casted a Lois on the show. It just doesn’t make sense for me and it would’ve been better if they casted a Lois at the show-finale.

I will not believe that he is dead till i see it with my own eyes. you can’t tell me with 100% certainity that Lex was in that truck. if we had seen inside the truck before it blew up and saw Lex inside then i would believe he is dead.

I agree with you and I would be happy, too, if SMALLVILLE ends with Clana because SMALLVILLE for me was Lana helping Clark to the man we all know he’s going to become, Superman, even though she is not the one who he ends up in the end.
All I could say is that thank God for Tom Welling & Kirsten Kreuk. Without them, Clark & Lana wouldn’t be so irresistible. For the first time and surprisingly, I wouldn’t mind if Superman reunites with Lana in the long future… after Lois but then again, that’s just changing the ever-changing Superman story once again.

You know, this season was just about to become my favorite one yet… and then Lana showed up.
I think lana will not play much of a part in the show from now on. I noticed in the credits at the beginning that Kristen Kreuk (can’t spell name) was named as a ’special guest star’.
Also did anyone notice that lex was played by a different actor in this episode? Or are my eyes just playing tricks on me?
I actually really like the actress they chose for Lois. I really hope they show the Lois and Clark relationship before the show ends
