my opinion of lana & clark. i wanted them to get together so bad, when they finally did i was so happy. but after lex & lana, i realy didnt want to c lana & clark together anymore. although i do believe it was clarks fault i mean how can it really work when your best friend bangs the love of your life. I am just ready for clark to move on to bigger & better things. just like clark started off running its time for him to fly to lois ck can always love lana but its must definately time to move on

Jeez, I so much more wish that Cloe and Clark get together at one point. Not the whole, Clark being under influence by red kryptonite, but like really together. I’d have to say that after seeing the episode where Cloe cries over Clark when he’s sick and reads to his unconscious body her feelings, that I really wish they would get together. Plus Allison Mack is a MUCH better actress than Kristen Kruek, and in real life is a lot more intellectual and mentally sound than Kristen Kruek.

lana has an important role in the superman series she can’t die and they wanted to shoe a premature relationship that could end up being something more because once you are a man dating is a bit different. There is a good reason for the whole lana can’t be near clark and that’s called tradgedy or irony. that heightens interest. if lana were to die and all is happy there would be no superman because the series is about how he became superman not some random please the public story.
but Lana’s not the same girl Clark fell in love with in high school… kind of in a similar way as Lex isn’t the same guy he befriended in season 1. things change. You say that “you dont love someone the way that clark loves lana and then fall in love with someone else just like that,” but it happens. all the time. and lana can’t die because, even though they’ve changed the timeline a bit, the show generally sticks to the continuity of the Superman universe.

If you read the comics (yes I am a dc comics geek … and marvel comics geek too) Lois and Clark are to be together and end up together because Lana in the comics tries to kill Clark and Clark says he would not be with her because Lois would not have pushed a button that would put Kryptonite all over Earth.

Read your comics man… lois and clarks… that’s what has been bugging green arrow even when they were already in justice league… he even asked lois why… read yo comics… and lana with lex .. read read read ….. plus this story is waaaayy before clark is the man of steel… so the writers can spin it which ever way they want as long as people keeps watching it..

you are thinking of Superman III. Lana, played to perfection by a young Annette O’Toole, who as many Smallville Fans will know, plays Martha Kent in the series. It was the beginning of the end for the Superman Saga in the ’70’s. Hence, why Bryan Singer chose to start Superman Returns at the end of the second movie. He completely cut out the third, and fourth, Superman IV: The Quest For Peace. And for good reason. The damage done to the material, and the falling away of the stories from the original comics was undeniable.
